Responsibilities included quoting and selling multi-million dollar projects, working with corporate engineers of Fortune 500 companies, supervising projects with Millwrights, Construction workers, Electricians and other trades, and providing layouts and equipment drawings for customers approval. Other duties included working with Structural and Mechanical engineers to approve drawings for construction.

Lead Designer and Project Manager
As Lead Designer responsibilities included gathering of design information, working with Structural and Mechanical Engineers and drafting personnel. Types of drawings include Civil, Mechanical (including utility, process and hydraulic piping), structural, HVAC and general arrangements of equipment. Other drawings include Electrical lighting and wiring.
As Project Manager duties included those of Lead Designer along with project scheduling and working with vendors. The main responsibility was to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting a budget and maintaining a workable schedule. Types of products engineered around included meat (Beef and Pork), pet food, soy beans, cereal, corn, cement ash and fertilizer.

Project Manager
Due to relocation of manufacturing and engineering facilities to Cincinnati, OH; assigned to job as Project Manager of Pork division. Duties included responsibility of entire projects from writing of work orders to start-up of equipment. Responsible for layouts of all equipment (using AutoCAD 13) and maintaining work schedules to meet customers deadlines. Responsible for supervising construction and installation crews and coordinating meetings with all parties including the customers.

Assistant Chief Engineer and Engineering Supervisor
As Assistant Chief Engineer duties included working with Project managers or customers to
determine most practical designs. Determined preliminary engineering information using speeds, weights, load capacities, etc. to calculate hydraulic motors, bearings and belt information.
As Engineering Supervisor, responsibilities included supervision of ten or more designers and drafters. Also included working directly with sales staff, project managers, and customers. Responsible for assigning job orders and releasing orders to shop.

Design Draftsman, Chief Engineer and Sales Engineer.
Designed and engineered automated wood working machinery. In charge of up to 2 draftsman. As Sales Engineer travel throughout United State and Canada making Sales calls and attending trade shows.

Design Drafter and Senior Designer
As Design Drafter required to completely design or re-design meat packing and material handling equipment and systems. This included belt conveyors, pumps, gear drives and hydraulic drives.
As Senior Designer was responsible for the development of a sales order or a group of sales orders into drawings and bill of materials. Includes using proper mathematical formulas to compute H.P., speeds, weights, load capacities, dimensions, quantity of materials, etc… Was expected to travel to job sites to gather all necessary information as required.

New Partnership Formed:
EDS and Refrigeration Consultants Inc. have joined forces to provide documentation for Safety Relief Valve (SRV) systems in 11 Food plants. The project will take approx 7 months and will document and recommend design changes for 21 ammonia engine rooms.
